AUSTIN, TX – OnRamp Access will officially announce a new offering in its suite of Data Center services when the company unveils its Dedicated Private Cloud solutions at the Interop Las Vegas business technology event May 17 – 21 at the Mandalay Convention Center. OnRamp’s Dedicated Private Cloud solutions will offer a more secure, effective and realistic way to deploy server and application virtualization, making it possible to provide Private Cloud environments in the secure, reliable and stable infrastructure of its Austin Data Center. OnRamp’s Private Cloud solutions will provide the economic benefits of virtualization, physical control over the dedicated equipment and the private environment within which to run it.
OnRamp’s Private Cloud solutions will provide a dedicated, physical environment for server and application virtualization. Because OnRamp provides dedicated servers that reside in the company’s physical Data Center, the solution is a more secure alternative to Public Cloud offerings from Google and Amazon in which servers run in a shared environment. Unique to the cloud landscape, OnRamp’s Private Cloud solutions will enable customers who choose to virtualize their servers in OnRamp’s private cloud environment to retain physical control over the equipment.
“Imagine being able to reap all the benefits of cloud computing without the security challenges of sharing your environment in a public cloud, said Chad Kissinger, OnRamp founder and president. “Now you can safely, reliably and efficiently deploy server virtualization with a real company, in a real data center, with real equipment where you maintain control.”
OnRamp’s Private Cloud solution is also an effective means for deploying server virtualization for disaster recovery. In response to physical and natural disasters such as Hurricanes Rita and Ike, the Internet Operations Company has already helped hundreds of Houston businesses successfully replicate their server environment in OnRamp’s Austin Data Center. OnRamp has partnered with Citrix, VMware and Microsoft to build, deploy and manage server and application virtualization within the Private Cloud environment of its Data Center.
