East Coast Swing (5 levels): No previous dance experience required. Dance to the Big Band swing sound or rock'n'roll from the 50's and 60's. The Beginner class introduces basic footwork and the simple man's and lady's turns, with 4 variations, as a means of teaching the principles of leading, following, maintaining proper dance distance, and staying with the music. We will learn triple-step and single step footwork; the patterns are interchangeable. The higher level courses put together some interesting patterns such as the Pretzel, Tunnel, Head Loops, Sweetheart steps, and the Dragon moves.
