Shooting Video for the Westover Multimedia Ministry

There are plenty of opportunities. Please contact the Multimedia Ministry about them.

Recurring events at Westover where we could use help in shooting are:

  • Quarterly World Bible School Teacher Profile videos - usually involves "news style" shots of the teachers working on their lessons and interacting with other WBS teachers, and interview setups with three-point lighting and lapel mikes.

  • Mission trips - most, but not all, of these are during the summer. We need people who are going on the trips to take video for use in a report. We can give you pointers on what to shoot.

  • Annual Family Bible School - usually involves "on location" shooting for a character video to be shown as part of the program, and "news/documentary" style shooting for a highlights video to be shown the last night of FBS.

  • Annual Leadership Training for Christ Video Bible Drama - an original drama, 10 minutes or less, recorded on video. The cast and some of the crew is composed of the Westover youth who choose to participate in this event. Involves "on location" and studio shooting, with some late nights and weekends.

In addition to these, we are asked throughout the year by different ministries, staff, or other individuals at Westover to cover events or produce programs.

We can provide training (see our educational library), and have equipment available for loan if you do not have your own.

Please contact the Multimedia Ministry about how to help.
