Digital video editing workstation

Description

Based on Canopus DV-Storm real-time DV capture card. Has FireWire, composite, and S-video inputs and outputs. Currently running Adobe Premiere 6. 150GB of video storage. Program length of up to 6 hours.

Analog video editing workstation

Description

Based on Pinnacle/Miro DC-30 video capture card. Has composite and S-video inputs and outputs. Adobe Premiere 4.2. The hard disk is rather small by video standards,  but it has a CD drive, a recordable CD (CD-R) drive, and a 1GB JAZ removable hard drive. Useful only for programs up to about 14 minutes in length.

Description

Octave Systems DVD± Copy Master 8X/8--This unit can make 8 copies at once of DVDs or CDs. Click here for information from the manufacturer.

Description

Panasonic LQ-DRM200--This unit records video onto DVDs from a VCR or camera over composite (RCA) connectors, S-video, or IEEE-1394 (i-Link/FireWire). Click here for info.

Description

This monitor stays with the digital video workstation for use while editing.

Portable battery-operated monitor
(Sony PVM-8020)

Description

This monitor is used when a color monitor is required "on location" for picture evaluation or playback, especially when using the Sony DSR-300A camera (which has only a black and white viewfinder).

JVC HR-S7600U S-VHS Hi-Fi VCR

Description

This is used mainly for putting finished productions onto VHS tape for distribution. Also used if the source footage for a production is on VHS tape. Has S-video inputs and outputs for higher quality.

Long Distance Runner distance extender for S-video transmission

Description

This is a pair of line drivers to carry a video signal over a long distance using coaxial or twisted pair cable. It has both composite and S-video connections.

Description

This switch box makes it easy to switch between two different S-video sources, such as a camcorder and the S-VHS deck, without having to plug and unplug cables.
