The whole gang shows up for Tim's horror fest of Fomori v. Lupines. Because this is a rather specialized one-shot, there are no normal characters per se. Instead, each player controls three of the (surviving) fomori in the Pentex Alaska compound. Specifically:
| Bruce | Spindle Freak, The Wasp, Bat Thing |
| Chris | Jimmy the Bug, Gary&Pete, Sludge |
| Paul | Runty, Balrog, Nameless Horror |
| Chuck | The Howler, The Fisherman, The Grinning Idiot |
There are a number of special rules associated with the normal World of Darkness Background attributes. Each dot of Resources gives a fomor the ability to add one piece of equipment to the environment, provided that it is appropriate to the room the fomor is currently in. For example, a fomor could expend a dot of Resources to find that there is a forklift available in the loading dock. Rank is rather helpful, given the strictly hierarchical nature of the Pentex Alaska lab. It improves a fomor's ability to order around the civilian employees (without resorting to violence, that is), and helps in persuading Scientists to go where the fomori want them to go. There are also two special Backgrounds: Equipment and Consecrations. At the beginning of the game, each fomor draws a number of cards equal to the sum of the dots in these two Backgrounds. The fomor may select single piece of equipment and a single consecration from among the cards drawn, provided that the fomor has a level in the appropriate Background at least equal to the level of the card. For example, a fomor with Equipment 3 and Consecration 0 would draw three cards, and could select a level 2 Equipment card but could not select any Consecration cards. The deck contains both Equipment and Consecration cards in approximately equal number.
Each fomor has 21 freebie points for customization. Tim notes that he fully expects that most players will spend their freebie points on things like Firearms and Strength, leaving otherwise crucial skills like Basketweaving for later. Merits and Flaws are not available to keep complications to a minimum.
Pentex is nothing if not practical, and has made a point of issuing an array of standard gear to all the fomori in the complex that are able to use it (tentacular monstrosities notwithstanding). Every fomor is equipped with at least the following gear, provided they can hold or wear it:
There are three goals for the fomori. First, protect the four Scientists. Each of them is a valuable member of the Pentex research community, and is still stable enough to commit many more useful atrocities. Second, protect the corpse of the demonic Wyrm monster Aganoth. It is a significant informational resource, and a prime reason for the existence of the Pentex Alaska base in the first place. It is stored in the Wrong Angles Room. Third, protect the two Wyrm artifacts, the Zwik (kept in the Tentacle Room) and the Apocryphal Loom (kept in the Mouth Room). Both of them are important items in their own right. Finally, the fomori can try to kill the invading garou, though this isn't nearly as important as keeping Pentex's various gadgets and toys safe.
The entire Pentex Alaska compound is described as a flowchart of different joined areas. There are four types of rooms in the Pentex Alaska compound:
| Green Rooms | The Green Rooms are on Level One, and are easily open to the outside and to the air. Characters that can fly can go from any Green Room to any other Green Room in a single turn. |
| Black Rooms | These are Level Two areas, built into the ground. They form the bulk of the complex. |
| Blue Rooms | The Blue Rooms are Level Three areas. They are actually completely underground. They are somewhat vulnerable to flooding. |
| Red Rooms | These are deep in the bowels of the earth. They were typically found, and the rest of the complex was built to reach down to them. The Wyrm's power is strong in them, and some Consecrations and Wyrm sorceries will work better in them. |

Two types of paths join rooms. Black paths are ordinary corridors or walkways, usable by any character (including the garou). Red dotted paths are Wyrm-tainted (and sometimes simply unpleasant, as in the path between the Mouth Room and the Gut Room). Only fomori can travel along these paths. There are additional paths within the complex that are only accessible to the garou, but none of the fomori know where they are (obviously).
As the game starts, the Security Room and the Civilian Kitchen are on fire, the Surgery Lab is submerged and the Chapel and Boiler Room are flooded.
The Zwik is stored in the Tentacle Room. Wyrm magics are easier in this room, and the tentacles often get in the way of people the Wyrm doesn't like. The place is good for body disposal too, though enough fomori have alternative dietary needs that this hasn't really been an issue thus far.
The corpse of Agaroth is stored in the Wrong Angle Room. The place is very close to the Wyrm, which helps keep the thing from rotting.
The fomori and the four Scientists are all immune to Delirium but the twenty surviving civilians aren't. This means that they may react unpredictably in the presence of the garou. Why are the Scientists immune to the Delirium, considering that they're supposed to be human, too? Well, they're actually all pretty much whacked-out Wyrm servants, enough so that things like werewolves no longer really bother them (note that several of the fomori started out their careers as Scientists).
A single garou enters the compound through the Loading Dock. This was something of a surprise, as nobody sees him until he fires a LAW rocket into the Security Room. This kills most of the local fomori right off, including all of the on-duty security personnel. The garou then engages in a bit of spiritual vandalism, tossing little leather fetishes loaded with Fire Spirits and Storm Spirits all over the place. The spirits started out mad and didn't calm down any. They scatter through the compound, spreading damage and civilian casualties as they go.
Balrog moves into Security and attacks the garou. The garou shifts into Crinos form and sidesteps the Balrog. A vicious fight ensues. The Balrog manages to inflict a terrible gut wound upon the garou, and is satisfied to notice that it isn't healing up right away. As an added plus, he manages to banish the fire spirits in the Security room Unfortunately, the garou responds by killing the Balrog.
Jimmy the Bug and the Nameless Horror try to bodily push Yellow Scientist into the Angle Room, an attempt that doesn't work out.
Spindle Freak watches in agony as Green Scientist refuses to go from the Micro Lab into the Mouth Room.
Grinning Idiot sends three civilians into the (burning) Civilian Kitchen to put out the grease fires there.
Runty moves around, as do all the flyers. The flyers bring Black Scientist into the Lobby.
The garou moves into the flooded Boiler Room. Four luckless civilians die. The fomori in the Security Room are able to hear the screaming and can see something flopping in the water, but none of them can tell exactly what happened.
Bug-Man and Nameless Horror do their best to intimidate Yellow Scientist into the Angle Room. The scientist refuses, arguing that "I'll have you fired!" Nameless Horror looks for something useful, finding nothing.
Spindle Freak persuades the Green Scientist to move into the Mouth Room along with two civilians. In a fit of pique Spindle Freak throws one civilian into the Mouth. The civilian is sucked to bits.
Bat Freak uses Resources to make Fire Extinguishers appear in the Lobby. Gary&Pete, Wasp, Bat Thing, and Howler leave the Black Scientist and two civilians in the Lobby and head into the Security Room to put out the fire.
Runty goes to the Loading Dock from the Storage area.
The White Scientist moves to Mail Room.
The steadily dwindling crowds of surviving civilians run helter-skelter.
The garou sets the Training Room on fire and moves to Storage.
The Spindle Freak prays to the Wyrm in the Mouth Room and gets the Consecration Mocking Voice of the Wyrm.
The group of fomori in the Security Room trade equipment, distributing Silver Bullets and Claw Caps to those fomors best equipped to use them.
The Fisherman (Rank 4) and Bug-Man desperately try to get the Yellow Scientist into the Wrong Angle Room. Bug-Man takes down his pants and threatens to f*** her to death if she doesn't move. Strangely enough, this threat has no effect upon her. The Fisherman finally manages to get her to stop backing up files through gentle persuasion. The two civilians in the area and Nameless Horror follow them into the Wrong Angle Room.
The Grinning Idiot joins the rest of the gang in Security. Everyone else puts out the rest of the fires, except for Gary&Pete, who drags Black Scientist in from the Lobby.
Runty moves from Loading Dock to the Lobby.
The White Scientist hides in Mail Room.
The civilian in the Mail Room heads to the Lobby.
The garou moves into the Laundry Room. Horrified screams follow his arrival. The linens are no longer clean.
The Fisherman heads to the Tentacle Room and helps Sludge push the Zwik towards the Wrong Angle Room.
The Spindle Freak prays to the Wyrm in the Mouth Room, picking up the tremendously useful Regain a Willpower Point Consecration.
The crowd of fomori in Security moves the Black Scientist into the Lobby. Along the way, they suspect that the sounds from the Boiler Room could be created by Vicious Fish.
The White Scientist in the Mail Room starts barricading the door. Runty joins him.
Spindle Freak continues to pray to the Wyrm and gains the Consecration Voice of the Wyrm. The Nameless Horror follows the same practice and gains the Consecration Attack the Soul.
Fisherman and Sludge finish pushing the Zwik into the Wrong Angle Room. Their good efforts do not go unpunished, as the Yellow Scientist yells at them for damaging the casing.
The rather hapless civilians in the Kitchen barricade a door.
Runty disassembles White Scientist's barricade in the Mail Room. The mass of fomori in the Lobby drag the Black Scientist into the Mail Room once the way is clear.
Three of the surviving civilians try running away, off the Loading Dock. Nearby fomori hear wolves howling. Another civilian tries to make it through the flooded Boiler Room. Fishy noises and screaming ensues.
The garou sets the Printing Office on fire (using spirits, of all things) and heads into the Fomori Quarters.
The garou moves into the Laundry Room and redecorates it with Lightning Spirits. It is clear that the beast has been up to additional mischief, as someone starts to scream in the Printing Room. The sounds suggest that someone got thrown into a printing press.
The Yellow Scientist does her best to wander away from the Wrong Angle Room, claiming that a large mass of people will draw the werewolf in. She claims that she wants to get to the snowmobiles. Bug-man restrains her. Sludge moves into the Computer Lab and turns on the sprinklers, hoping the water will flow down to the Wrong Angle Room and prevent the place from catching on fire. The Nameless Horror looks for equipment, finding Armor-Piercing Bullets. Nobody questions why such gear might be lying around in the Wrong Angle Room.
Spindle Freak keeps up the prayer and gets the Consecration Soul Strike.
The gang of Fomori in the Mail Room take the Black and White Scientists into the Scientists' Suites.
The ominous, horrible sounds of Indian singing and dancing emerge from the Fomori Quarters.
Spindle Freak sends one civilian out to the Micro Lab to watch for the werewolf.
The Nameless Horror goes to the Mouth Chamber to see what's there. He finds Green Scientist, the Apocryphal Loom, and Spindle Freak. Everyone holds a brief reunion celebration.
Sludge heads downstairs, along with a trickle of water. The other fomori notice that Sludge contaminates the water simply by standing in it.
Howler takes the White and Black Scientists and one civilian to the Computer Lab, while Bat Thing, Gary&Pete, Grinning Idiot, Wasp and Runty head to Security to try and fight the werewolf.
Of the three civilians who headed out into the wilderness from the Loading Dock, one bloodied survivor crawls back, moaning, "It's cold out there, and there are wolves after me."
The werewolf moves into the Fomori Feeding Room. This is quite worrisome considering the specialized (and often horrible) dietary needs of several of the fomori.
The crowd of fomori in the Security Room go to the Fomori Quarters, hot on the heels of the garou. They are sickened and horrified to find that the Fomori Quarters have been Cleansed.
Howler goes to the Computer Lab and breaks every computer it can reach to prevent the Yellow Scientist, the Black Scientist, and the White Scientist from spending time backing them up. Howler notices that the screens all display, "We Kill You Now!" One scientist waves a lizard's foot at a computer and speaks Sumerian at it. This little ritual appears to fix the computer, but not before it makes the thing bleed. This is pretty normal behaviour around the Pentex Alaska compound, so Howler thinks nothing of it.
Bug-man and Fisherman subdue the Yellow Scientist with the idea of dragging her down into the Wrong Angle Room. In the process, Bug-man tries to follow through on his promises to perform terrible personal intimacies with her, paying no heed to the fact that she is none too attractive (it isn't about looks for Bug-Man anyway). His efforts are unsuccessful, as she holds up a leathery eyeball encased in amber. Bug-Man discovers that he can't approach within two feet of her.
Sludge heads to the Apocryphal Loom in the Mouth Room and starts moving it to the Wrong Angle Room. Nameless Horror helps.
The civilian in the Micro Lab is acting like a chicken surrounded by Foosas, but Spindle Freak uses the Voice of the Wyrm to make him stay put. The Green Scientist tries to make it to the Wrong Angle Room, but can't because the way is blocked by the Apocryphal Loom. He compromises by returning to the Mouth Room and drawing a pentacle on the floor around himself.
The garou moves into the Gut Room. Smoke comes from the Fomori Feeding Room, along with squeals from the various live animals stored there for the Balrog's use. Nobody is much worried about this because the Balrog has ceased to be a valued Pentex employee.
The Fisherman tries to keep the Yellow and White Scientists in line. In the process he manages to convince both of them that the fomori have gone insane and are trying to kill them.
Sludge finishes pushing the Apocryphal Loom into the Wrong Angle Room.
The Nameless Horror notices that Sludge leaves a slime trail and tries licking it. He finds out that Sludge's trail is actually made of toxic waste. The Nameless Horror retracts its burnt tongue and settles for helping Sludge push the Loom.
The Howler screams at the Black Scientist and gets him to go into the Wrong Angle Room.
Finally, the gang in the Fomori Quarters head into the Gut Room to attack the garou. The creature isn't immediately in view, but swiftly becomes so after Gary&Pete uses the Wrath is a Sin Consecration to make it Frenzy. The garou abandons its grenade launcher, turns into a 9-foot Crinos monster, and attacks. A tremendous fight ensues. Gary&Pete and the Grinning Idiot manage to pin the garou. In response, it first savages Gary&Pete with it's claws, and then kicks them in half (inflicting five levels of aggravated damage in each attack). Bat Thing rushes in to replace Gary&Pete in the effort to pin the garou.
Runty stands back, aims very carefully, and shoots the garou for eight damage levels. The Wasp provides the final blow, clawing at the creature with silver-tipped claws that incapacitate the garou. The fomori watch as silver poisoning slowly kills the creature.
After the fomori victory, the survivors discover that the garou left some land mines submerged under the foot-deep liquid covering the floor of the Gut Room. They also discover that the garou had been busy stringing razor wire across the entrance from the Mouth Room.
Tim lets the players know that the garou had been using a power to hold things in spirit space ("Highlander space"), so he could just pull things out of thin air. He also comments that causing it to Frenzy was a good tactical maneuver, because it was denied access to several of it's potentially very damaging Gifts, including Blur of the Milky Eyes, and to it's grenade launcher.
