The characters are at the First Home of the Jhokk (or, to the Jothava, the Last Home of God), watching the Jhokkada go about their business. They set Garret to watch their camp, then go into the (unfinished) Saculum of the Unquenched Thirst.
Messerbad is still healing from his earlier injuries. In the meantime, Yorden and Pawnbroker attempt to explore the Saculum of the Crown. They encounter the animated jhokk Guardian, which injures Yorden fairly badly before fading away. Yorden and Pawnbroker retreat back to the Saculum of the Unquenched Thirst. A short exploration of that Saculum reveals an underground passage to the other Sacula. The characters venture down, but find that passages between completed Sacula have a life-draining effect. They also heard the sounds of the Jhokkada leaving through the escape tunnel at the base of the Saculum of the Egg.
The characters made some effort to try and isolate the Jhokkada in the Saculum of the Egg, not realizing that they had already departed. In due course, they find the tracks leading away from the First Home. A pursuit across the Second Plateau ensues. By the end of it, the characters have reached the Edge, learned that the Skin Adapoi were forced to eat Tarrago, and slowly picked off all the Jhokkada except the master Matok.
Before he ran back into the jungle, Matok managed to retrieve the Jhokk Egg from his pascullo (which had been shot by Yorden). He also took a sizable amount of food and water. The characters tried to track him into the jungle, but swiftly fell behind.
Each character got four points. Garret got one point, because Tim was not around for the session.
