Cy'apopa is a sadurtha drug. Researchers at Fennen's Institute for Applied Science have learned that it is also able to induce psychic abilities in selected humans if properly used. The subjects of cy'apopa therapy normally develop a strong addiction to the drug. Induced psychics who have used cy'apopa gain strengthen their powers by consuming the stuff: it provides +2 to all psionic skills and 1d fatigue to use with psionic powers, but reduces DX and HT by -1 each. The effects of a single dose persist for 2d hours.
As purchased from the sadurtha, cy'apopa is a viscous greenish fluid. Human smugglers normally package the stuff into capsules before distributing it. It is legal to possess (but hard to obtain) on Fennen, and illegal to possess in the Atlas moon system. One of the prime reasons cy'apopa is difficult to get even on Fennen is the fact that while possessing it is legal, trading with the sadurtha to get it is not. There are isolated human labs on Fennen that produce cy'apopa, but the quality of their product is highly irregular.
