Home built by I.H. Aynesworth

I. H. A. came to Austin in 1847, and settled
south of Austin on Onion Creek
near family friends, the Burlesons.

In 1851, he bought land from the Burlesons
located on I.H. 35 at the edge
of Robert Mueller Airport. He paid $500 for
the land, and he built this house.

In 1855, he sold the place to Dr. Wright
for $5,000 and moved to Naruna, Texas.

In about 1980, the house was restored
and is now located at the Pioneer Farm
in northeast Austin.
