OnRamp Access offers its customers high quality Internet Access for very reasonable
prices. In order to insure that we are able to continue to
offer quality services at these prices, we strictly enforce
the following Acceptable Use Policy. Of course, OnRamp Access
reserves the right to terminate service to any customer at
any time for any reason it deems appropriate.
OnRamp Access Dial-up Unlimited Internet accounts are intended
for interactive access to information and resources located
on the Internet. They are intended to be used to connect only
one computer at a time to the Internet. They are not to be
used as a full time, dedicated connection to the Internet
or as a connection for more than one computer at a time to
the Internet. OnRamp Access users will be automatically logged
out after 20 minutes of inactivity or after 3 hours of continuous
use. Use of any mechanism to defeat our inactivity monitors
or the use of automatic redialing software is not allowed.
OnRamp Access actively tracks the use of "Pings"
and automatic e-mail retrieval software. If OnRamp Access
determines that a customer is actively trying to defeat our
inactivity monitors, is using automatic redialing software
or otherwise using this interactive account as a dedicated
account to the Internet, OnRamp Access will immediately deactivate
that user's account without prior notice. Use of an Unlimited
Internet account to connect a more than one computer at a
time (i.e. a network of computers) through a proxy server
or through the use of a NAT capable device or similar device
is not allowed. OnRamp Access provides Dedicated Internet
Access accounts that may be used for these types of services.
If OnRamp Access determines that an Unlimited Internet account
is being used for a dedicated connection to the Internet or
is being used to serve more than one computer at a time, OnRamp
Access will notify the user of the violation and offer to
change the account to a Dedicated Internet access account.
If the user does not wish to purchase a Dedicated Internet
access account, OnRamp Access will terminate the Unlimited
Internet account. In no case will the customer be charged
more than the advertised price for the Unlimited Internet
account without their consent to change to a Dedicated Internet
access account.
OnRamp Access Telesurfer, Telesurfer Pro, Homesurfer and
ShareLink DSL accounts are Residential/Small Business DSL
accounts (R/SOHO accounts) intended for casual interactive
access to information and resources located on the Internet.
R/SOHO accounts are intended to be used to connect only one
computer at a time to the Internet. Use of a one of these
R/SOHO DSL accounts to connect more than one computer at a
time (i.e. a network of computers) through a proxy server
or through the use of a NAT capable device or similar device,
or any other method, is not allowed. OnRamp Access provides
Business DSL Internet Access accounts that may be used for
these types of services. . If OnRamp Access determines that
one of these R/SOHO DSL accounts is being used to serve more
than one computer at a time, OnRamp Access will notify the
user of the violation and offer to change the account to a
Business DSL Internet access account. If the user does not
wish to purchase a Business DSL Internet access account, OnRamp
Access will terminate the R/SOHO DSL Internet access account.
In no case will the customer be charged more than the advertised
price for the R/SOHO DSL Internet access account without their
consent to change to a Business DSL Internet access account.
Changes to the Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy is subject to change without notice.
A current copy will always be available to you upon request.
Unacceptable Use Policy
It is unacceptable to use OnRamp Access to gain unauthorized
access to computers, networks or network resources.
It is unacceptable to use OnRamp Access to disrupt or interfere
with computers or networks accessible to the Internet. This
includes the propagation of viruses or worms and the act of
mail bombing other networks.
OnRamp Access' services may only be used for lawful purposes.
Transmission of any material in violation of any U.S. or state
regulation is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited
to: copyrighted material, threatening or obscene material,
or material protected by trade secret. By subscribing to OnRamp
Access, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless OnRamp Access
from any claims resulting from your use of this service which
damages you or another party.
It is unacceptable, and unlawful in many areas of the United
States to use OnRamp Access to send Unsolicited Commercial
E-mail, otherwise known as "SPAM".
OnRamp Access reserves the right to terminate any account
being used to perform unacceptable or unlawful activities.
Terms of Agreement
OnRamp Access, Inc. does not make any express or implied warranty
including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability
and fitness for a particular purpose of any software or documentation.
OnRamp Access, Inc. accepts no liability for lost or corrupted
data, or software, or for other indirect, incidental, special
or consequential damages. Additionally, OnRamp Access, Inc.
takes no responsibility for any damages suffered by you including,
but not limited to, loss of data from delays, nondeliveries,
misdeliveries, or service interruptions caused by OnRamp Access,
Inc.'s own negligence or your errors and/or omissions.
OnRamp Access, Inc. does not make any express or implied
warranty including, without limitation, implied warranties
of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose of
any information, service or products offered on the Internet.
Although OnRamp Access, Inc. endeavors to make access to
the Internet safe for its subscribers, OnRamp Access, Inc.
accepts no liability for damages as a result of access to
the Internet. Each subscriber is responsible for appropriate
safety measures when interacting with the Internet including,
but not limited to, scanning all downloaded files for viruses,
guarding passwords, and protecting minors from inappropriate
communication. Although users can obtain information on standard
safety measures from OnRamp Access, Inc.'s support personnel,
OnRamp Access, Inc. in no way warranties, or accepts liability
for such information.
OnRamp Access, Inc. offers Virus Scanned E-mail in conjunction
with some of its services. OnRamp Access, Inc. uses the world's
leading Virus Scanning software with regularly updated signature
files to offer the best available protection from discovered
and undiscovered e-mail viruses. However, OnRamp Access, Inc.
makes no express or implied warranty that e-mail accessed
through OnRamp Access, Inc.'s Virus Scanned E-mail will not
in fact contain E-mail viruses that have defeated OnRamp Access,
Inc.'s virus scanning technology. Additionally, customers
who use OnRamp Access, Inc.'s Virus Scanned E-mail are still
vulnerable to viruses from other sources such as disks, or
downloaded files from web pages. Therefore, the Customer should
maintain other Virus scanning technology for their computer.
OnRamp Access, Inc. will make every reasonable effort to
maintain the confidentiality of subscriber’s electronic
mail. However, because of technological limitations, OnRamp
Access, Inc. cannot guarantee such confidentiality. Additionally,
OnRamp Access, Inc. will cooperate with any law enforcement
agency that has obtained proper legal authority to view subscriber’s
email, and will respond to other legal process as provided
by law.
OnRamp Access, Inc.'s services may only be used for lawful
purposes. Transmission of any material in violation of any

material or material protected by trade secret. You agree
to indemnify and hold harmless OnRamp Access, Inc. from any
claims resulting from your use of this service, which damages

OnRamp Access, Inc. reserves this right to cancel this service
and reimburse you with any unused fees where appropriate on
a pro-rated basis.
You may cancel a month to month account at any time by letter.
You will still be responsible for any fees incurred up to
the date of termination of this service. Additionally, any
fees collected in advance for the current month's service
are nonrefundable. You may also cancel an account with a term
contract at any time by letter. You will remain liable for
recurring charges for the balance of the term outlined in
the contract.
